What are the technical requirements needed to run PowerPoint?

To run Microsoft PowerPoint, your device should meet the minimum requirements for the version of Microsoft 365 you are using.

·         Windows: Windows 11, 1.6 GHz or faster 2-core processor, 4 GB RAM (2 GB for 32-bit), 4 GB available storage, 1280 x 768 screen resolution, and DirectX 9 or later for graphics acceleration.

·         Mac: One of the three most recent versions of macOS, 4 GB RAM, 10 GB available storage, and 1280 x 800 screen resolution.

·         PowerPoint for the web: The latest version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, plus a stable internet connection.

For the best experience, especially with large presentations, videos, or animations, a newer device with at least 8 GB of RAM is recommended.

After the file is downloaded, users can open it in Microsoft PowerPoint on their computer. If PowerPoint is not installed, you may still be able to view the file in PowerPoint for the web using a supported browser and internet connection.
